1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using TripsToAlbania ("the Platform"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. These Terms apply to all services we offer, including organised trips, car rentals, private transfers with driver, self-drive rentals, and guided tours.

2. Accounts

  • You must provide accurate and up-to-date information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Bookings & Payments

3.1 Trip Bookings

  • Prices, fees, and taxes are displayed at checkout. You authorise payment to your chosen payment method.
  • Booking confirmation is sent by email once payment is processed.
  • We may correct pricing errors even after confirmation, offering you the option to cancel for a full refund.

3.2 Car Rental & Transfer Bookings

  • Rental and transfer prices are calculated based on your pickup location, route, vehicle type, and rental period.
  • A quotation is generated during the booking process. The final price is confirmed before payment.
  • Seasonal surcharges may apply depending on the time of year and pickup location.
  • For "with driver" services, fuel, tolls, and parking are included. For self-drive rentals, fuel and tolls are the renter's responsibility.

4. Cancellations & Refunds

4.1 Trip Cancellations

  • You may cancel by contacting support or through your account.
  • Cancellations made at least 15 days before the travel date are eligible for a refund.
  • Cancellations within 15 days of the travel date are non-refundable.
  • Some products may be marked as non-refundable at the time of booking.

4.2 Car Rental & Transfer Cancellations

  • Free cancellation up to 48 hours before the scheduled pickup time.
  • Cancellations within 48 hours of pickup are subject to a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the total.
  • No-shows are charged the full amount.

4.3 Refund Processing

Refunds are typically processed within 5–7 business days. You will receive confirmation by email.

5. Car Rental Specific Terms

5.1 Driver Requirements (Self-Drive)

  • The renter must hold a valid driving licence recognised in Albania.
  • Minimum age: 21 years. Drivers under 25 may be subject to a young driver surcharge.
  • An international driving permit (IDP) may be required depending on your country of origin.

5.2 Vehicle Use

  • Vehicles must be returned in the same condition as received, with the same fuel level.
  • Smoking is not permitted in any vehicle.
  • Taking vehicles outside Albania is not permitted without prior written consent.
  • The renter is liable for traffic fines and penalties incurred during the rental period.

5.3 Insurance

  • Basic third-party liability insurance is included with all rentals.
  • Collision damage waiver (CDW) is available as an optional extra.
  • The renter is responsible for any damage not covered by the included insurance.

5.4 Deposit

A security deposit may be held on your payment method at pickup and released upon return of the vehicle in good condition.

6. User Content

By submitting content (e.g., reviews, photos), you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display, and reproduce such content in connection with the service.

7. Acceptable Use

  • No unlawful, harmful, or infringing activities.
  • No scraping, reverse engineering, or unauthorised access.
  • No interference with the platform or other users.

8. Intellectual Property

TripsToAlbania and its licensors own all rights to the platform and its content, except user-submitted content.

9. Disclaimers

Services are provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim all warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law. Road conditions, weather, and third-party service quality are beyond our control.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TripsToAlbania is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.

11. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, or transport disruptions.

12. Privacy

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Albania. Any disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of Tirana, Albania.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
